Engineer • Builder • Curious Tinkerer

I design resilient systems, mentor teams, and love turning vague problems into elegant, maintainable solutions. When I'm not improving matching engines or pushing CI pipelines, you'll find me exploring bug bounty reports, writing tiny scripts, or brewing a terrible cup of coffee.

About

Hi — I'm Josafá. I build and guide engineering teams to deliver software that just works. My approach mixes pragmatic architecture with a healthy dose of curiosity: iterate fast, measure, and improve. I gravitate toward problems that require systems thinking, thoughtful trade-offs and clear APIs.

Outside work I tinker with security tooling, contribute to small open-source projects, and enjoy long walks with headphones full of podcasts.

Selected Highlights

Architected and led reliability-first redesigns
Led the architecture and delivery for HackerOne features such as Hacktivity and internal matching systems — raising reliability, reducing incident load, and enabling faster, safer feature rollout.
Transformed engineering delivery
Introduced CI/CD, containerization, and pragmatic observability at STX Group to remove release friction, lower rollback frequency, and empower product teams to iterate confidently.
Built consumer-scale products end-to-end
Owned projects from design to launch and post-launch scaling — including mobile apps like pushFone (100k+ downloads), plus APIs and backend services that handled real-world traffic.
Mentored and grew engineering teams
Hired, coached and defined processes that helped engineers ship reliable software and take ownership of product outcomes.
